Situated on the sunset side of the international dateline, the Cook Islands are in the heart of Polynesia, just north of the Tropic of Capricorn. Tonga and Samoa lie to the west and French Polynesia lies to the east. The Cook Islands are spread over a very large area of the South Pacific and are diverse in their formation. |
